My Writing Process -- Blog Tour

My beloved Kiernan Kelly asked my to join this here blog tour and I can’t refuse her anything at all. :D You can find her gorgeous self at http://caferisque.blogspot.com

1) What am I working on?

Well, as y’all know, I’ve got the attention span of a gnat on crack. Right now I’m working on the third novella in the Brazilian bull rider series, I’m working on a contemporary about a cowboy, an Austin musician and their kids, and I am playing with a serial killer novel that may or may not get off the ground.

2) How does my work differ from others of its genre?

I think the thing that distinguishes me is that I am Texan down to the bone and it shows, no matter how I try to hide it. I tend to wallow in the vernacular, snuggle right down in it and rejoice in the sounds.

3) Why do I write what I do?

Oh, y’all. I just write what I know. I know cowboys and rednecks and dogs and fistfights. I am learning all about the mountains and the high desert and the 'o-O-o' accent. It’s simple as that. I write what I know.

4) How does your writing process work?

Caffeine.

That’s it. The whole thing.

Coffee fuels my very soul.

I write from top to bottom, I don’t plan a goddamn thing, I just go.

Next week:

Katherine Halle — Katherine is one of those unique ladies that bring joy and demons wherever she goes. What? It’s true.

Kris Norris — Kris is not only one of the hottest writers I’ve ever met, she’s a total doll baby and I love her more than is reasonable.

Much love, y’all.
