I say this one all the time, but y’all, I gotta confess, the first time I typed it, I thought, “What the hell does that mean?"

I mean, seriously. What the ever-loving hell do those words put in that order MEAN?

And I use this phrase a dozen times or more a day.

It’s late as all get out.

That man’s mean as all get out.

It’s hot as all get out.

If y’all don’t straighten up, Momma’s fixin’ to get peeved as all get out.

I use it in speech, and these days, I just type it without a worry at all, but that first time?
